This release introduces or extends the following new features used in building visuals.
Arcadia Enterprise's new Derived Data feature enables truly robust query stacking and cohort analysis. To learn how to use implement this, see our documentation on Derived Data.

Arcadia Enterprise has an expanded expression editor, with autocomplete and validation options. It also has a menu of available functions (based on connection type) and fields. To learn how to use the new expression editor, see our documentation on Enter or Edit Expressions.
Arcadia Enterprise options for pie charts now include both a solid and a ring. You can adjust the arc width to change the thickness of the ring, or to convert it to a traditional pie chart. To learn how to use this, see our documentation on Arc Width.
At times, visuals call for alternative matching of measurement and color value. For example, it makes sense to show low crime areas on the map as peaceful green, and high crime areas as alerting red. You can achieve this by reversing one of the available color palettes. To learn how to use this, see our documentation on Reversing Color Palette.
Starting with this release, geographical maps use gradient legends, with associated values. See an example of this in Reversing Color Palette.
This filter supports a full calendar interface when using filters based on field with a TIMESTAMP datatype. See the documentation at Using the Date Picker.
A new Filter Columns option in filter settings enables the linking of a filter to a set of dependent dimensions and filters. Depending on the dataset, it may limit the list of values displayed in the target filter. See Linking Application Filters.
In addition to custom styling options for application filters, application filters and parameters may be configured to emit distinct key-value pairs, to add a 'no selection' option to single-select lists, and to hide filters when no input data is available.
Starting with this release, Arcadia Data supports display format customization for currency quantities, using the format style S. See the relevant documentation in Currency Quantity Support, and in the Display Format Reference.
In addition to the $ (dollar), starting with this release Arcadia Data also supports the following currencies: the £ (Pounds Sterling), the (Japanese Yen), the ₹ (Indian Rupee), and the (Euro).
This release incorporates significant advances in analytical computations available through Arcadia connections.
An analytical view is a semantic caching mechanism that allows users to precompute and cache results of expensive SQL operations, such as grouping and aggregation. Analytical views confer a number of significant performance benefits. See the relevant documentation in Analytical Views.
