Turning on Thumbnails

Turning on Thumbnails enables you to take snapshots of your actual visuals and applications, and replace the standard thumbnails that appear in the Apps interface. This customization makes it very easy to locate the visuals. Additionally, this option must be turned on to enable PNG snapshot download.

Developer Note. In Linux OS, to ensure that the correct dependencies are in place for thumbnail and snapshot generation, you must add fontconfig and freetype packages to your installation. Use the following command:

> sudo yum install fontconfig freetype

Under Thumbnails, perform the following steps:

Check Enable Thumbnails.
You can then either accept the default settings in the IP/Hostname field, or change this setting to connect to the correct server.
