Working with Visuals

The basics of working with Arcadia visuals include creating new visuals, where you can:

• Select the visual type, such as the ones outlined in Visual Types.
• Place place the dimensions and measures of the dataset on the appropriate shelves, described in the specific for each visual type.
• Further configure the options for the fields on the shelves.
• Further configure the settings of the visual.

You can clone new visuals from existing ones, editing these visuals, and also delete the existing visuals that you no longer need.

As part of your interaction with visuals, you could preview the visual, save data used in any visual as a csv file. This includes data that is the result of aggregations and calculations made in the visual, not just data from the base table.

On a more advanced level, Arcadia Enterprise gives you the option to share visuals by emailing them to other users, and also to save tabular data as materialized tables or logical views.
