Automatically Renaming Dataset Fields

Quite often, default field names are not very human-friendly. Therefore, Arcadia Data added an option to automatically adjust field names at the level of the dataset.

Availability Note. This feature is available if Automatic Attribute Renaming is enabled.

The following steps demonstrate how to change the default column names, automatically.

  1. On the main navigation bar, click Data.

    Click DATA on main nav

The Data view appears, open on the Datasets tab.

  7. Note that the field titles changed. For example, the Measure gdp_per_captia appears as GDP Per Capita.

The Title Case option does not affect fields that are calculated over table fields, such as gdp.
