ArcEngine Log Bundling File

The log bundle file that Arcadia Enterprise downloads to your local directory has the name in the form logs.##########.tar.gz. The uncompressed file folder is logs.##########.

The log bundle has the following hierarchical structure:

  1. The top level of directories correspond to process types: arcengined, catalogd, and statestored.
  2. The secondary structure for catalogd, and statestored processes includes compressed files for each level of reporting. In the following illustration, you can see that both of these directories include the files header.txt.error.gz and header.txt.info.gz. These files unzip to flat text files header.txt.error and header.txt.info, respectively.

The secondary structure of arcengined directory reflects the names of all nodes/machines that run ArcEngine. The following illustration shows secondary directories for vagrant-ubuntu-trusty-64.localdomain/22000, vagrant-ubuntu-trusty-64.localdomain/22001, and vagrant-ubuntu-trusty-64.localdomain/22002.

  3. The tertiary level of the arcengined contains the header.txt.error.gz, header.txt.info.gz, header.txt.warning.gz, and header.txt.fatal.gz compressed files, that unzip to the corresponding flat text files.
