Apps Security Model

Arcadia Enterprise apps have a simple security model that follows the Workspace model.

Initially, an app exists in the Private workspace of its creator. It may be altered only by its creator, or by a user with full administrative privileges.

If the app creator moves the app to the Public workspace, every user can see it, and users with sufficient edit privileges can clone, edit, and delete the app.

If the app creator moves the app into a custom workspace, then access to the app follows the rules and grants of that workspace. Users with edit workspace permission can edit, clone, delete the app, or move it between workspaces.

Full edit/delete privileges remain with Admin users. However, the original creator does not retain edit permission for the app, unless the app is in a workspace for which she has edit permissions.
