Upgrade Considerations for Sheets
Starting with Release 4.2.0.0, Arcadia Enterprise dashboards can contain multiple
sheets. This has the following implications when you upgrade from earlier versions of
ArcViz:
- By default, each dashboard has a single sheet. You can create new sheets in existing
dashboards, and add visuals and filters to these sheets.
- Filters and visuals are specific to the sheet where they are created.
- You can rename, move, reorder, or clone the sheets within the dashboard. Dashboard title
and settings remain the same across all sheets.
- You can clone the sheets in place, creating a new sheet with same visuals and filters,
and then change them. You can also clone an external sheets, essentially importing a copy of
a sheet from an external dashboard into the current dashboard.
- You can save the URL of a particular sheet (for example, the third sheet), and share
this navigation link with another user. When your colleague opens the dashboard using that
navigation link, it opens on the third sheet. By default, dashboards open on the first, or
leftmost, sheet.
- You can share sheets by sending them through email.
- You can download a particular sheet to the local system as either a
*.png
or *.pdf
file.
- When you save the current sheet, you are saving the entire dashboard.
Migration Notes
When you migrate to Release 4.2.0.0 from an earlier release, Arcadia Enterprise places all the visuals and filters of the dashboard into a single
sheet.
