ArcEngine Catalog Tables

ArcEngine catalog tables enable users to write SQL queries on a single node to obtain information about the entire cluster (all the nodes in the system). ArcEngine uses two built-in catalog tables to view all queries in the system:

These tables mitigate the need to query each coordinator node in the system to explore the activity on the 35000 Web UI for running queries, and to examine audit logs (or parse files from the arcengined/profiles directory) on each arcengined node to obtain historical data.

Additionally, you can combine the information from these tables or their derivatives into a performance monitoring dashboard, such as the one we demonstrate in the following image.
