ArcEngine Log Bundling User Interface

In Arcadia Enterprise, the Log Bundling User Interface enables you to quickly build a log bundle directly in ArcViz, by selecting simple options based on your criteria of start time, duration, specific nodes, log levels, and processes.

In the Arcadia Enterprise ArcEngine Log interface, you can download bundled ArcEngine logs after clicking the Download Bundled Logs button, which opens the Download Bundled ArcEngine Logs modal window.

This interface enables you to specify the following details of the logs:

  1. Log Start Time

By default, the start time is current local start time, less one hour. So, if you start your log bundling request at 18:25 PM, the interface sets this field to 17:25 PM.

You can select an alternate start time by clicking in the time display field, and using its calendar widget.

  2. Log Duration

This field specifies the capture duration, in integer minutes. The default value is 60 minutes, because this is tied to the value of the log start time. In general, the default settings capture the logs for the hour that precedes the request.

You can change this value by typing directly in the field or using an increase/decrease widget that appears when you hover over the field.

  3. Advanced Settings

By default, the rest of the settings do not appear. Click Advanced Settings to toggle to a display with all options.

  4. Nodes to Fetch

By default, the log bundling utility fetches logs from all nodes.

To specify a known node or a group of nodes, enter the comma-separated list of nodes in the field.

Alternatively, you can elect to fetch the logs from coordinator nodes, by selecting the option Only Include Coordinator Nodes.

  5. Max Bytes to Zip

Specify the maximum size of zipped files, in MBs. The default size is 2,000 MB.

  6. Log Levels to Include

By default, the log bundling utility includes the following log levels: Info, Warning, Error, and Fatal. You can choose not to download them by de-selecting each option; however, you must choose at least one option.

  7. Processes to Include

By default, the log bundling utility includes the CatalogD, StatestoreD, and ArcEngineD processes. You can choose not to download them by de-selecting each option; however, you must choose at least one option.

  8. Cancel

    Click Cancel to stop.

  9. Download

Click Download to start the log bundling download request.

To understand the structure of the downloaded log bundle, see ArcEngine Log Bundling File.
